mysafekey: Privacy Policy

mysafekey (package com.mvcs.passwordgenerator) is a password and passphrase generator developed by Michael Viehweg (MVCS ApS) ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the mysafekey Android app handles your information.
TL;DR
mysafekey does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. It runs entirely on your device, has no internet permission, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
Information we collect
None. mysafekey:
- Does not request any Android permissions beyond the default platform ones.
- Does not include any analytics, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDKs.
- Does not connect to any server. The app has no
INTERNETpermission in its Android manifest. - Does not contain any third-party advertising or tracking code.
Information stored on your device
- Generated passwords are not persisted. The "history" feature in the app keeps the last 10 generated values only in memory. Closing or force-stopping the app erases them.
- Clipboard auto-clears. When you tap "Copy password", the value is placed on the system clipboard and automatically cleared after 60 seconds while the app is alive. On Android 13 and later the value is also marked sensitive so it is hidden from the system clipboard preview.
Permissions
mysafekey declares no Android runtime permissions and no INTERNET permission. You can verify this in the app's listing on Google Play under "App permissions" or by inspecting the bundled AndroidManifest.xml.
Children's privacy
mysafekey is rated 18+ on Google Play. We do not knowingly direct the app at children, and because we collect no information at all, we cannot collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction).
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how mysafekey handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. The Google Play listing will continue to point at the most current version.
